Dear TCLS Members,
It is hard to believe that we are already entering the month of May! It seems like we celebrated the New Year just last week!
Mother Nature has been good to us so far. We recently hosted the Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament and The JMA Golf Tournament. We heard rave reviews from all who attended. The course is in great shape, especially this early in the year. As the night time temperatures continue to get warmer, we will experience even better conditions as the Bermuda grass fills in the bare areas left from where Matthew and his men killed unwanted weeds.
April has been very busy, not only with the Golf Tournaments, but weddings and other events. If you are considering hosting an event at The Club, please remember that you get a 50% discount on room rental for a personal event!
May will prove to be even busier than April! We will have the “Soft Opening” of the pool Tuesday through Sunday for “Swim at Your Own Risk” use through Thursday, May 23, 2019. Adults and accompanied children can enjoy the “cool” water of the pool by calling the office so we can open the pool gate for you. On Friday May 24, 2019 we will begin Gate, Guard and F&B services. We will have a Memorial Day Barbeque with live entertainment on Monday May 27, 2019. No need to travel for the Holiday, take advantage of your Membership with a “Stay-cation at the Club!"
Our Breakfast Club Walking Group has gotten off to a slow start. Many suggested that we move the start time to 7:00 am and that they would participate more when the weather gets better. We will begin walking at 7:00 am in May. Please feel free to call or text me at 478-290-9700 if you want to participate on our Monday, Wednesday and Friday walks. I hope to be walking every day and hope to have some company.
We have had several successful Wino Club Meetings. May will be our last meeting until the fall, so Jason is planning a full-blown high-end food and wine pairing dinner. Details will be forthcoming soon. Participation will be limited to the first 24 Members that sign up.
Due to scheduling conflicts, the April Ladies Day has been moved to the first Friday in May. We will be celebrating The Kentucky Derby with our best fancy hats and live betting on Horse Races. Don’t forget to come to our Kentucky Derby viewing party on Saturday, May 4th beginning at 6:00 pm.
If you haven’t already set up your password through our Member’s Only Portal on our website, you are missing out! You can monitor your account, pay your Club bill and stay informed! Once your profile has been created, you can also download the new Club at Lake Sinclair App on your smart phone. You can then review your account, pay your monthly statement, make a tee-time or dinner reservation at Aubri Lanes from your smart phone, desktop, laptop or tablet.
You will also find the Calendar of Events on the website listing all the Social and Athletic Events at the Club. Simply click on the event to see all the details. We will also keep our Facebook page current by listing upcoming events and sharing pictures of recently completed events.
Finally, we have enlisted a texting service to help inform and remind our members about all the outstanding Social and Athletic programing available exclusively to TCLS Members! If you do not receive these alerts, please contact Renee in the office with your best cell number.
